Blended Learning
Based on Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blended_learning) Blended Learning is an education program (formal or non-formal) that combines online digital media with traditional classroom methods. It requires the physical presence of both teacher and student, with some element of student control over time, place, path, or pace. While students still attend "brick-and-mortar" schools with a teacher present, face-to-face classroom practices are combined with computer-mediated activities regarding content and delivery. Blended learning is also used in professional development and training settings.
For Blended Learning activity, we can use Blendspace program. The learning goal of this program is designed to help students practice listening and reading for sequences of events, and understand the form as well as functions of second conditionals.
There are 15 ideas or tips for using test teach to help you get started on using Blendspace to incoporate multiple sources in your material design. For my own material design, I choose The Power of Video. In this design, I just attach videos capture that related from my material and it is so easy to do. Why I choose the material design? Because my students target is students in six-grade. They are taking in this class to know how the differences of three types of narrative text, such as fairy-tale, fable, and also legend. Why did I take this material? Because in the future, I will be English teacher so this material is one of material that I have to explain to my students. This program is so helpful and not difficult to operate it. For some students, you just think first what material do you want to make. Then, you can follow 15 ideas or tips that suitable for you or your material. You also can create the material in your way.
Blendspace is very effective to make students learn about something new because in this program learning activity, students can improve their skills, such as taking notes as they are listening to the video and ability to find something new more on the internet. Trying a new program for learning activity is a great experience to me. In other ways, I get a knowledge that really useful for my future as a teacher. I think many students who get this learning activity method will like this method program. And for teachers, this program can be alternative learning activity because everything it is a quite easy.

ReplyDeleteHi Tere! It is good to read you post. I like how you explain it. I agrre that student can learn more effective with this app and they can gain many skills (writting, reading, listening, etc). This app is really useful!
