Flipped Classroom

Flipped Classroom is one where students are introduced to content at home, and practice working through it at school. In this blended learning approach, face-to-face interaction is mixed with independent study via technology. Students watch pre-recorder videos at home, then come to school to do the homework armed with questions and at least some background knowledge. Luckily I joined CALL class. WHY? because in this class I learnt everything new, especially for studying programs and also studying systems. I already known about flipped classroom but I did not understand how to prepare the material to apply in studying system (flipped classroom) and also the media that teachers use. Honestly, it is new for me to know about flipped classroom because I did not have experience with this studying system. I have spent my studying time to study in classroom when I was in high school.

In my opinion, this education system will be very useful and effective in Indonesian classroom because students always do everything by technology and internet access now.  Flipped Classroom also has benefits for students and teachers. For example of benefits for students is students get less frustration with their homework because students watch or listen to lectures at home, and then solve problems and apply the new knowledge in the classroom. An example of benefits for teachers is teachers can support students in better understanding the concepts through practical application. The technique of flipped classroom is little bit difficult because teachers have to learn how to make studying material first and also the studying system have to appropriate in students. Not only that, if the facilities is available, the studying system like flipped classroom can happen. It is also the affecting factors in the success of flipped classroom. In my opinion, flipped classroom have been proven to be useful and effective in secondary school especially to prepare and improve students learning in the college.

In short, students must have a wise attitude to respond the new studying system like a flipped classroom because the system requires the students to learn the material first at home. The problem of this system is a temptation to play games online or open another website because when they learn at home, they do not get full attention of the teachers.

I have created the lesson about when to use "me", "myself" and "I". This lesson usually make the students are confused when they want to use the pronoun. This lesson also is a basic thing for learning English for junior high school. The differences between each pronoun and how and when they are used in different sentences have displayed in this video lesson. Hopefully, the lesson is helpful for one another. For information, I created the lesson by Ed.Ted. You can open this website ed.ted.com and then sign up for a starter. Create your own lesson and follow the instruction of the website. You can add questions like multiple choice, True/False, and also discussion question depends on you. When you have finished, you can publish your lesson and share the link. It is quite easy to do, so try the application to support the new studying system. GOOD LUCK!!!
