Mobile Learning Activity


Based on Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M-learning) Mobile Learning is learning across multiple contexts, through social and content interactions, using personal electronic devices. A form of distance education, mobile learners use mobile device educational technology at their time convenience. Mobile learning technologies include handheld computers, MP3 players, notebooks, mobile phones and tablets. Mobile learning focuses on the mobility of the learners, interacting with portbale technologies. Using mobile tools for creating learning aids and materials becomes an important part of informal learning.

For mobile learning activity, there are 2 main parts of the classroom activity:
  1. First, Nearpod Lesson. Based on (http://www.definitions.net/definition/nearpod) Nearpod is an all-in-one solution for the synchronized use of iPads in the classroom that makes lectures more enganging through interactive multimedia presentations. With Nearpod, teachers can create mobile presentations, engage students in class, and assess them in real time. The fast adoption of tablet computing and mobile devices is having a profound impact on education. Nearpod allows educators to very easily take their existing presentations, convert them into mobile-friendly content, and engage all students to convert them into active classroom participants. Teachers can deliver their existing content through mobile (iOS or Android) devices and get instant feedback from students through interactive features like polls, quizzes, drawing activities, and others.
  2. Second, British Councile Mobile App. This is one of mobile learning outside of class.



Nowadays, types of setting school learning was very boring because there was no new method for students. Study in university and study in school have many differences in studying. In university, students have to be responsible with their selection than in schools. 

In this week, I have learned how to make mobile learning activity. I also have created one material about "Singular and Plural Nouns". This learning objective is devoted to second grades children. In this time, children have gadget and advanced technology; so in this opportunity, I as a teacher in the future have created one topic of lessons. In this topic, I want my students to know and understand about singular and plural nouns. The students can learn by online use their gadget.  I also have attached video and The Britisih Councile Mobile App for my students in outside of class.

    Hi Tere,
    it's very a good explanation that you type in your blog. I love the explanation. but, it is better if you give your own reflection about the steps you make this activity or the difficult things when you make this activity or this activity for elementary, junior, or senior high schools. overall, I love this explanation so much. It requires the physical presence of both teacher and student, with some element of student control over time, place, path, or pace.
