QUIZLET : An Interactive Vocabulary Web-based

What is Quizlet? According to the Quizlet website, the program is explained: “Quizlet is a mobile and web-based study application used by 1-in-2 high school students and 1-in-3 college students in United States and is a free website providing learning tools for students, including flashcards, study, and game modes.” Quizlet was created by Andrew Sutherland in October 2005 and released to the public in January 2007. As of August 2017, Quizlet has over 140 million user-generated flashcard sets and more than 20 million active learners. Teachers can search premade learning sets by subject or create their own. They can set up classes and monitor student progress through assigned learning sets. (Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quizlet)

This week in my Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) class, we have done to learn how to make a Quizlet. Miss Priska asked us in this class to try this website. In the first time, we did not really understand and did not know how to operate the website but after we followed Miss Priska’s explanation, we know how to make a Quizlet. Now, I want to tell you how the steps a Quizlet.

How do I get started a Quzlet?
  1. First, open this website www.Quizlet.com
  2. If you don't have an account, please sign up and create a username and password that can you remember.
  3. After that, choose "Create a new study set". Then you can fill in that boxes about your subject title do you want.
  4. Then, entering vocabulary terms for quizzing, games, and practice test. When you entering your vocabulary choose language in both drops down boxes (vocabulary terms in 1st column and definitions of vocabulary in 2nd column). If you want, you also can add picture of your vocabulary terms.
  5. After you finished, you can click "create". Then you can try your Quizlet game and match the vocabulary with the meaning. Afterwards share your flashcards or your Quizlet by Facebook, Twitter, of through a link.
Hopefully, everyone who reads my blog can understand the steps and can try to make a Quizlet. This website is one of an alternative choice to make your learning is more exciting. In my opinion, this website is very useful and interesting because this website really helps us to be creative teachers in the future.

  3. Hello Giska :)

I liked your quizlet, it's interesting and educating for me. And it takes me back when I was in my vocational highschool.
It's quite easy for me to guess the answers, maybe because I already had an experience in it haha.

After all, good job girl! :)
